It works closely with the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) cluster, which is a network of national specialty disease centres, hospitals and polyclinics, to advance medicine and improve lives through cutting-edge research and education. Job Description: The Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR) Programme at Duke-NUS is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The selected candidate will work in Cardiovascular Health Research Services Unit established under the CArdiovascular DiseasE National Collaborative Enterprise (CADENCE) national clinical translational programme. They will perform a variety of activities relevant to the planned economic evaluations for health interventions and assist a team of health economists. Conduct literature reviews to evaluate the potential value of health innovations. Perform data cleaning, handling and analysis. Perform economic evaluations in healthcare (cost analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-utility analysis or budget impact analysis) with guidance. Assist in drafting research abstracts and manuscripts Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations to various stakeholders Assist in the preparation of evaluation reports for the health economics team. Extract data from existing databases and published literature Manage projects from start to end with guidance (i.e., develop research objectives and study design, perform data extraction and data collation, conduct data modelling, perform statistical analysis and engage and collaborate with various stakeholders)Support secretariat and administrative functions pertaining to the health economics team at HSSR Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative fields, with Economics, Epidemiology or Public Health being advantageous. Minimum 1 year of working experience with quantitative data. Adept at working with data, including processing raw data to visualise trends and deciphering patterns and the ability to handle large data sets. Prior experience in various quantitative research methods is desirable. Experience or training in health economics will be beneficial. Have experience with R programming language, and a willingness to learn more applications.
