Freelance Video Editor – Part time at Twine Join a fast‐paced creative environment as a freelance video editor specializing in short‐form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You will transform long‐form podcast recordings into engaging 30–90 second clips that capture attention and drive engagement. This role requires a keen eye for selecting compelling moments, applying dynamic edits, and ensuring each video aligns with current social media trends and platform specifications. You will work closely with creative and marketing teams to develop strong hooks and maintain a consistent visual style across all deliverables. This is a remote, part‐time position with an immediate start and quick turnaround expectations. Responsibilities Edit long‐form podcast recordings into short, engaging clips (30–90 seconds) for IG Reels, TikTok, and YT Shorts. Select and highlight the most compelling, relatable moments from conversations. Add subtitles, jump cuts, transitions, and sound effects to enhance viewer engagement. Apply consistent branding and visual style across all videos. Optimize videos for 9:16 aspect ratio and platform‐specific requirements. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in short‐form social video content. Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to develop strong hooks and visual concepts. Deliver completed edits within tight deadlines (typically within one week). Skills and Requirements Proven experience editing short‐form video content for social platforms. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve. Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement. Ability to add dynamic subtitles, transitions, and sound effects. Familiarity with podcast or conversational editing is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent branding. Self‐motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote setting. Available for immediate start and able to meet quick turnaround times.
