EDXM Global Pte Ltd is an affiliate of EDX Markets LLC (“EDX”), a fast-growing digital asset company which operates a marketplace designed to meet the needs of both crypto-native firms as well as the world’s largest financial institutions. EDX enables safer, faster, and more efficient trading of digital assets, leveraging best practices from traditional financial markets on a purpose-built crypto platform. EDX launched spot trading in the U.S. in June 2023. In 2024 EDX is expanding its product suite into derivatives and its geographic reach to the APAC region, and beyond.
EDXM Global is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist. This role is based in Singapore. This position will be part of a global team responsible for supporting the daily clearing, settlement, and risk management processes related to EDX’s clearing services. This role will serve as the front line of resolving Members’ clearing related issues, managing risk, and overseeing, refining and running daily operational procedures to ensure the consistent and efficient clearing and settlement of transactions. In this role, you will also work closely with the product and technology teams to define enhancements to the platform and improve the overall Member experience. This position plays a critical role in maintaining EDX as the most trusted and efficient market and clearinghouse for digital assets. This is an opportunity to solve challenging problems while working closely with experienced market operators, risk managers and software engineers to optimize operational workflows and bring innovation to the digital asset market.
Responsibilities:
Implement and carry out standard operating procedures (SOPs) with diligence to ensure error free implementation of changes.
Provide operational support for the firm’s trade settlement, digital asset and fiat custody, clearing, settlement, deposits, and withdrawals.
Monitor and manage trade lifecycle related to digital asset transactions.
Perform trade and asset reconciliation with the firm’s clearinghouse, clearing members, and custodians.
Serve as process owner for current functionality and provide critical support and input regarding enhancements to technology, workflows, and processes.
Develop strong understanding of clearinghouse’s risk management tools and provide support for related clearing member needs.
Interface with product and technology teams to improve processes where identified opportunities exist, to increase automation where possible and support meeting the overall needs of the clearinghouse.
Help manage projects, including project timeline, preparing project status updates and reports, managing Jira workflows and ensuring successful delivery of projects within timeline.
Experience:
5 years of experience in operations, preferably from banking / brokerage / fintech industry.
Previous experience supporting fixed income, currencies, spot crypto, derivatives or commodities products.
Experience working with exchange-traded and over-the-counter products and their derivatives, in a clearing, settlement and/or risk management role.
Experience with digital asset custodians and blockchain networks a plus.
Experience with futures, futures options, and/or OTC products preferred.
Substantial prior interaction with the front office and senior management in an active trading environment.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and synthesize and implement workable solutions.
Be flexible working across different time zones in a 24/7/365 support environment.
Ability to provide support to Members in high pressure situations.
Proficiency in both written/spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or another quantitative field or material equivalent exposure.
Strong attention to detail.
