Speech Therapist / Senior Speech Therapist
Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Clinical Management
– Manage a caseload of routine and standard cases with proficiency and independence. Assess, develop, plan, and implement speech therapy interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing difficulties in accordance with programme approach, framework, and SOPs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to work with clients on a one-to-one basis, in groups, or in other settings based on programme requirements and client functioning levels.
Monitor clients’ speech therapy progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and review clients’ needs in line with programme requirements.
Provide speech therapy consultation and updates on clients' progress to caregivers and all members of the client care team.
Refer clients to relevant specialists (e.g., other therapists, psychologists, neurologists, doctors) for consultation or further treatment as needed.
Conduct home/school/workplace visits when necessary.
Provide speech therapy-related training on relevant platforms when required.

  • Clinical Administration
    – Participate in departmental administrative duties and operational processes to support service delivery. Ensure timely documentation of clinical records and reporting in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements. Contribute to service quality assurance initiatives, including audits, risk identification, and incident reporting. Maintain inventory of therapy equipment and resources for the programme.
  • Clinical Teaching and Supervision
    – Provide on-the-job guidance to other staff, caregivers and volunteers in the execution and maintenance of speech therapy programmes. Share knowledge and best practices with peers and junior staff. Provide speech therapy-related training on relevant platforms when required.
  • Professional Development
    – Actively engage in continual professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competency. Participate in literature reviews and research-related activities to support evidence-based practice. Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field and apply relevant knowledge to clinical work. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, case conferences, in-services and other required meetings.
  • Other Activities
    – Participate in cross-divisional committees or events as required. Represent the organisation in networking with other community organisations. Handle any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy or equivalent recognised by the Allied Health Professional Council.
Eligible for registration as a Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professions Act 2011.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in local languages is an advantage.
