Your Role Mighty Jaxx is seeking a curious and detail‐driven Junior Paralegal (1‐Year Contract) to support our Legal Counsel in managing a wide range of commercial, intellectual property, disputes, and compliance matters to drive our growth globally. You will report to the Legal Counsel and work closely with business units to support intellectual property (IP) management, dispute resolution, review and draft contracts, and assist in internal employee training and building scalable internal legal processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their legal career to gain hands‐on exposure across multiple practice areas and industries, particularly in IP, technology, and consumer products, within a dynamic and innovative environment where law meets creativity. Note: This is a 1‐year contract role, with potential for conversion depending on evolving business needs. Responsibilities Manage and maintain the Mighty Jaxx's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark and copyright registrations, renewals, and enforcement actions. Conduct legal research on IP, commercial, regulatory, and cross‐border issues relevant to the Mighty Jaxx's operations. Review and draft a variety of legal documents, including licensing agreements, sales and distribution agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs. Identify, assess, and communicate potential legal and compliance risks to internal stakeholders. Assist in designing and implementing internal legal processes, policies, and templates to support business growth. Support the Legal Counsel on litigation, dispute resolution, and complex transactional matters. Support corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder resolutions, company secretarial filings, and regulatory compliance. Requirements A diploma or degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related discipline; candidates with paralegal or legal executive certifications will also be considered. Prior experience in a reputable law firm or in‐house legal team (experience with transactional, intellectual property, or dispute resolution work is an advantage). Strong understanding of commercial, intellectual property, and corporate law principles. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment. Proactive, resourceful, and solution‐oriented, with strong stakeholder management skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in commercial and IP law within a creative, fast‐moving company.
