Application Support (Linux, Unix and SQL - Australian Day Shift)
As an Application Support specialist at FIS, you will play a crucial role in monitoring alerts, addressing production issues, and ensuring effective problem resolution for our clients. Your expertise in Unix, Linux, and SQL will be essential in providing in-depth product support and resolving customer inquiries. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to maintain system stability and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include responding to customer product inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and documenting recurring problems to support product quality programs. A minimum of 1-4 years of hands-on experience in Unix, Linux, and SQL is required for this role. You should be willing to work regular early morning shifts during the Australian Day Shift and have knowledge of the Derivative market, especially on post-trade activities.
Additionally, you should possess the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrate deep technical and functional expertise, and be familiar with project methodologies such as AGILE and Waterfall. Knowledge of FIS products and services, as well as the financial services industry, would be considered an added bonus.
