Job Title: School Counsellor

The role of a School Counsellor is to provide expert guidance and support services to students, staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counselling Services: Provide direct counselling intervention for students, and collaborate with other counsellors in designing and implementing a coherent system of counselling approaches.
  • Staff Support: Offer consultations for staff in managing students with academic, behavioural, and emotional issues, as well as provide training & workshops to strengthen their affective skills.
  • Parental Involvement: Provide consultations for parents in managing students with academic, behavioural, and emotional issues, and conduct workshops to align expectations and strengthen parenting skills.

Job Requirements:

  • A graduate qualification in counselling, counselling psychology or clinical psychology is essential.
  • Experience in working with young adults, preferably in a school setting, is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills are required to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

About the Role:

This role requires a skilled and experienced School Counsellor to work collaboratively with the Student Development Team to promote students' social and emotional growth, while providing expert guidance and support services to students, staff, and parents.
