About the role We're looking for an experienced Presales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer to join our new APAC team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to shape Sand's presence in the region and work across multiple industries. You'll partner with customers to identify opportunities, drive technical success through proof-of-concepts (PoCs), solution demos, and consultative engagement, and act as the technical bridge between our sales, product, and engineering teams. We're looking for someone who is approachable and can converse with both technical and non-technical stakeholders , and someone who also has strong technical skills . Experience in prototyping and building in Replit is highly desirable. We want a generalist who can quickly adapt to different industries and apply lessons learned across Healthcare, Water, Telecom, Energy, and Smart City initiatives. Specific Responsibilities Understand client business and technical requirements and design solutions leveraging AI, data analytics, and digital twin technologies. Deliver compelling technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations of SandOS capabilities to technical and executive audiences. Lead the design and execution of PoCs for AI, analytics, or smart infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with customer KPIs. Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to build solution proposals, technical architectures, and responses for RFPs and tenders. Support existing accounts with solution optimization, data architecture guidance, and expansion into new use cases. Work across industries - Healthcare, Water, Telecom, and Energy - applying lessons learned from each to develop reusable frameworks and accelerators. Stay up-to-date with AI infrastructure, IoT, telemetry systems, geospatial technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and smart city trends to guide clients strategically. Requirements - Essential 5+ years in presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting roles. Proven track record supporting enterprise AI, data, or digital transformation projects. Strong understanding of cloud platforms, data pipelines, IoT/telemetry, machine learning, and geospatial data systems. Experience with smart city, smart government, or industrial analytics solutions is a plus. Excellent ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes for C-level audiences. Relationship building skills are key. Experience in prototyping and building in Replit. Generalist industry experience with the ability to adapt across multiple verticals. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science. Based in Singapore with Singapore Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
