The role requires expertise in traditional Greek recipes, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and execute authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes. Create menus that reflect Greek culinary traditions while appealing to local customers. Source and manage high-quality Greek ingredients and supplies. Ensure consistency in food presentation, taste, and portioning. Train and guide kitchen staff on Greek cooking methods and standards. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen. Monitor kitchen inventory, manage stock rotation, and minimize wastage. Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop seasonal menus, events, and promotions (e.g., Greek festivals, wine pairing dinners). Stay updated with modern Greek cuisine trends while preserving authenticity. Requirements Proven experience as a Chef, ideally specializing in Greek or Mediterranean cuisine. In-depth knowledge of traditional Greek dishes, ingredients, and cooking methods (e.g., moussaka, souvlaki, spanakopita, baklava). Fluency in Greek (spoken and written) preferred to understand original recipes, communicate with suppliers, and maintain authenticity. Culinary degree or professional chef training (advantage). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen and deliver consistent quality.
