Role Purpose The Retail Store Assistant/Analyst supports both physical store operations and online sales channels, ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate inventory management, strong customer engagement, and effective sales execution. The role also involves business analysis, purchasing support, forecasting, online catalogue management, and month‐end reporting, contributing directly to the company's sales performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Store Operations & Sales Support Manage daily store activities including merchandising, stock display, customer service, and cashier duties. Ensure store maintains a clean, organized, and customer‐friendly environment. Assist in meeting monthly and annual store sales targets. Handle customer enquiries and provide product recommendations. Perform stock replenishment and coordinate with warehouse teams. Purchasing & Inventory Management Support the purchasing team with order planning and vendor coordination. Monitor stock levels and assist in preparing inventory replenishment forecasts. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks, including stock count variance reporting. Analyse slow‐moving and fast‐moving SKUs to support purchasing decisions. Business Planning & Forecasting Assist in preparing store business plans, sales forecasts, and operational planning. Support demand planning activities based on historical data, sales trends, and seasonal patterns. Provide input into quarterly/annual business reviews. E‐Commerce & Online Sales Operations Maintain online product catalogue including item setup, product descriptions, photos, and specifications. Manage online pricing, promotions, and campaign updates across platforms. Track online order fulfilment and coordinate with logistics for timely shipping. Monitor online sales performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement. Reporting & Business Analysis Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales and operational reports for management review. Conduct report analysis on sales performance, online demand, customer trends, and product profitability. Support BP vs Actual reporting, month‐end closing activities, and variance analysis. Analyse product P&L across retail and online channels to identify growth opportunities. IT & System Skills Use POS systems, inventory software, and e‐commerce backend systems. Manage online listing platforms, pricing tools, and sales dashboards. Ensure accurate and timely data entry across store and online systems. Work with IT to troubleshoot system issues related to sales operations. Required Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service. Knowledge in business planning, purchasing, forecasting, and sales analysis. Proficiency in online sales platforms and catalogue management. Good analytical skills with ability to handle data and reporting tools. Knowledge of product P&L, pricing strategy, and demand management. Comfortable with month‐end closing and sales reconciliation work. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask in a fast‐paced retail environment. Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, IT, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in retail, e‐commerce, or business operations. Hands‐on experience with POS systems, e‐commerce platforms, and basic reporting tools. Personal Attributes Detail‐oriented, responsible, and proactive.
