About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10The Role: S&P Global Energy is looking for a Senior Editor to join the Asia and Middle East Oil Markets pricing and editorial team. The position is full‐time and based in Singapore. The individual will be responsible for day‐to‐day reporting on the Asia Pacific and Middle East refined oil products market. The Impact: The role involves every aspect of market reporting: collecting and publishing primary market information, conducting assessment processes, evaluating refined oil product values, reporting market news, writing commentary and analysis, contributing to methodology development, and engaging with market sources. The candidate will join respected oil markets reporting teams and gain in‐depth exposure to Asia Pacific and Middle East refined product pricing and markets. Your Skills: The ideal candidate has experience in oil market reporting, pricing, or analytics; a deep understanding of Asia Pacific and Middle East oil markets; knowledge of trading strategies; an understanding of derivatives markets; and strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will take initiative, own Platts oil price reporting, lead methodology development projects, and expand markets coverage. Responsibilities: Gather oil market information, produce price assessments, write commentary, news and market analysis Follow price trends and report on these in a timely manner Conduct analysis, contribute to content development activities and thought leadership pieces Develop and expand on Platts' already expansive list of sources and contacts Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in oil markets in a reporting or analytical role Strong numeric skills with knowledge of oil products trading and pricing Excellent presentation and writing skills Self‐driven, energetic, and proactive Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a team‐oriented, global, multi‐cultural environment Benefits: We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health‐wellness coverage, generous time off, continuous learning resources, financial planning support, family‐friendly perks, and additional retail discounts and incentive awards.
