Overview The Rapid Response team aims to ensure the safety of our users on the platform by responding to escalating incidents. As the Rapid Response Lead, APAC, you will use market familiarity, quick decision‐making, and stakeholder management to resolve crises in a timely and appropriate manner. You will also grow fellow Rapid Response Analysts in skills and domain expertise. Responsibilities Lead a high-performing team of Rapid Response Analysts who coordinate the response to major global Trust & Safety incidents and crises. Lead the APAC escalation roadmap and prioritization. Define regional strategy and country-specific modifications for Rapid Response activities and drive improvements for greater effectiveness and efficiency. Investigate reported incidents across multiple internal and external channels for TikTok and respond to global partner inquiries, maintaining composure under stakeholder pressure. Prioritize incoming risks and escalations by severity and urgency; train teams to adapt priorities based on evolving facts. Analyze incident trends, systems, and data to provide recommendations for process, policy, and product improvements. Implement clear protocols for rapid response and containment of violative content/issues, leveraging cross-functional relationships when issues cannot be self-resolved. Coordinate with global cross-functional teams including Public Policy, Legal, Product, and Engineering to respond to crises and escalations. Lead post-mortems for major Trust & Safety incidents. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in trust & safety or risk management with at least 1–2 years in a team leadership or mentorship role. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver in complex, fast-paced environments. Strong analytical thinking and operational acumen; experience using data to monitor performance and guide decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with cross-functional partners (e.g., policy, product, operations). Preferred Qualifications Understanding of content moderation systems, enforcement tools, and risk mitigation strategies. Quantitative skills; data-driven mindset; SQL or Excel skills are a plus. Strong understanding of social media challenges and sensitivity to safety or regulatory issues. Extensive experience managing and coordinating large-scale projects or products with engineering and design teams and other partners to ensure effective execution of product plans.
