Job Title: Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Specialist to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in conducting thorough testing and repair works on equipment and systems.
  • They will be responsible for performing repairs using various tools and techniques, as well as monitoring equipment and system condition to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will perform regular housekeeping of tools and equipment after maintenance and repairs.
  • They will also be expected to follow resourcing plans in support of engineering projects to ensure timely completion, and operate equipment and systems in adherence to operational plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Furthermore, the Equipment Specialist will monitor equipment and systems performance to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime, and respond to emergencies as an emergency response team member and follow safety procedures to prevent injuries.
  • Finally, they will comply with organisational Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) standards and practices, and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with organisational WSH and EMS standards and practices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Higher NITEC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Building Services/Facility Technology.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in building servicing and maintenance, preferably in a hotel or serviced apartment environment.
  • Excellent service skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Full vaccination and commitment to workplace safety and health.
