InterMoor is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Loyang Crescent, Singapore. This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial and commercial performance reports for senior management. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining strong internal controls over financial processes, fostering best practices, and mentoring the APAC Finance Team. Additionally, you will oversee the completion of statutory reporting requirements within the specified timelines, ensuring the financial health of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities
General

  • Conduct all activities with due regard to the core values of the organisation
  • Provide financial support within InterMoor APAC as required
  • Liaise closely with Regional FC to ensure she remains informed of all relevant financial issues
  • Maintain awareness of, and control exposure to, all technical and commercial risk

Strategic Support

  • Review of ongoing projects with Project Managers and APAC Finance Team
  • Management of Company computerised accounting system including all relevant security
  • Support Senior Management Team in financial decisions
  • Ensuring adherence to The Acteon Way for Finance
  • Ensuring adherence to various Acteon Group policies i.e. Revenue Recognition, Capital Expenditure
  • Preparation and maintenance of finance procedures manual
  • Responsible for implementation and utilisation of ERP system in conjunction with others in the Management Team, including training of users

Financial

  • Timely, accurate reporting of monthly financial information to Line Managers
  • Monthly / year to date / annual variance analysis
  • Preparation of various drafts of annual budget including detailed variance analysis and chart feeder spreadsheet
  • Preparation of annual Statutory Accounts Template and preparation / review of various other year end reports
  • Tax year end reporting
  • Ensure that all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and that any material errors or unidentified balances are immediately notified / reported / corrected.
  • Financial analysis of projects, department and market sectors
  • Prepare monthly payroll
  • Prepare cash flow forecast and manage funding requests
  • Supporting other Group companies with appropriate accounting service

Requirements

  • Experience of computerised accounting systems
  • Good understanding of reporting requirements for parent company
  • Knowledgeable on current accounting standards and practices
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel (E)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a middle to senior role within a Finance Department
  • Supervisory experience
  • Team player who has the ability to manage, motivate and develop Finance Team
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and to work well on own initiative
