We specialize in delivering cutting-edge drive test firmware and software to optimize backend test processes, ensuring all engineering requirements and quality metrics are met. About the role - you will: Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify firmware/software for hard disk drive testing. Comprehend and troubleshoot all disk drive subsystems, including servo, mechanical, read/write, electronics, controller firmware, and factory test processes. Conduct bench-level tests and perform data analysis to diagnose and resolve HDD failures. Support failure analysis (FA) activities related to firmware issues. Develop and release Test Process Codes, including PF3 and SF3 packages. Collaborate with design engineering teams, including Controller Firmware, Test Process Engineering, Servo Firmware, Product teams, and product development Core Teams, to support development efforts and resolve issues. Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and thrive in a collaborative, multi-functional, and international team environment. A problem solver and team player, capable of collaborating with cross-site teams. An effective communicator, able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly through both written and verbal communication. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Your experience includes: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Strong knowledge of hard disk drives (HDD). Comprehensive understanding of the HDD test process. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Assembly, Python, etc. Solid engineering knowledge and excellent data analytical skills. Location: The Shugart, 26 Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore 139944 Up to 10% travel to Factory Site (Korat & Wuxi) and US Design Centre.
