Regulatory Liaison - APAC Compliance Expert

We are seeking an exceptional Compliance Officer to join our Singapore office. This role will report into the Head of Compliance APAC, based in Hong Kong, and hold several critical profiles and responsibilities for the Singapore office, APAC region more broadly, and the Compliance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Liaison: Manage the local regulatory risk profile and relationship with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be relied upon to be subject matter expert for all things MAS as well as other regional market regulations, feeding those into the Global Compliance Program.
  • Collaborative Team Member: Be an integral and collaborative member of the APAC compliance team, Global Markets Compliance team and broader Compliance department.
  • Advisory Support: Deliver high quality, in region and time zone, first line investment and markets compliance advisory support.
  • Relationship Management: Manage key relationships with senior investment and non-investment staff in Singapore and the region.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Minimum 7 years' relevant experience, Prior MAS registered regulatory roles.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge covering market structure and related regulations in region.
  • Soft Skills: Highly self-motivated, organized, and attentive to detail. Adaptable and open to change, a natural problem solver and lateral thinker.
  • Communication: Calm and concise communicator, collaborative and able to engage well with staff of varying roles and seniority.
