About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Level 1 Support Engineer to join our Shared Services team. You will be the first point of contact for end users, providing technical assistance and resolving IT-related incidents and service requests via phone and email. This is a shift-based role in a 24/7 support environment, ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide First Call Resolution (FCR) through phone and email for IT issues and requests
Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues as needed
Log, classify, and update incidents accurately in the ticketing system
Ensure consistent follow-up and timely closure of all tickets
Collaborate with team members to meet SLAs and service performance metrics
Escalate unusual or critical issues to the Team Lead when necessary
Requirements
Education & Experience
Minimum Higher Nitec in IT or related field
At least 1 year of experience in IT Support, Service Desk, or Desktop Support
Technical Skills
Basic troubleshooting in Windows Operating Systems
Familiarity with Active Directory user administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and mobile device support
Soft Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal abilities
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
Responsible, detail-focused, and proactive
