About the Role:

The Reinforcing Steel Specialist will be responsible for planning, preparing and installing reinforcing steel in concrete forms. This includes cutting, bending and positioning reinforcing rods, cables and mesh using a variety of tools and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize reinforcing steel installation to meet project specifications
  • Cut and bend reinforcing rods, cables and mesh as required
  • Position and secure reinforcing steel in concrete forms using fasteners, rod-bending machines and other equipment
  • Hoist components into place using cranes and rigging equipment
  • Stress tendons to predetermined specifications using hydraulic jacks and pumps
  • Ensure quality of work performed and that buildings have proper reinforcement
  • Meet Singapore construction standards and regulations
  • Train and lead foreign workers to complete daily tasks together

Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role requires excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces. Candidates should have experience with reinforcing steel installation and a strong understanding of construction practices and safety protocols.
