Supports the restaurant growth and development for both the franchisor and franchisee organizations with region development franchising team. Provides direction and development to the operational and functional support team to achieve a culture of excellence, franchise system optimization and performance, achieve superior business results and unifies the Wendy’s restaurants in their markets around a shared Brand vision. Works with the Franchise Operations Managers to ensure that franchise restaurants are accurately evaluated to Wendy’s standards of operational excellence. Leads with RVPs, the development of local plans that deliver results and improves the Brand Position in the market. Develops and maintains successful franchise relations and provides leadership and influence within assigned region to achieve sales and customer count growth, operational objectives, financial results, re-investment, and development targets. Ensures focus on Wendy’s brand reputation by driving overall customer satisfaction in all restaurants within region. Enforces Brand Protection processes. Effectively utilizes corporate resources, strategic partnerships, peers and support functions to achieve business goals. This role is a key partner in the region team to deliver overall brand goals in the region. Responsibilities Leadership Development – Leads and facilitates the Development of Direct Reports (FOMs); Partners with the RVP in supporting developing Multi-Unit Leaders through coaching, teaching and mentorship. Ensures that the Region has internal bench through succession planning, and focused development. Market Performance & Management – Leads strategic franchise and region level planning to drive market growth and performance, brand ranking and growth through operations, local marketing plans, new restaurants, Image Activation and enhanced facilities. Partners with RMD on Local Marketing guidance and market plans. Brand Strategy & Franchise Engagement – Evaluate and manages individual franchise leadership engagement, customer and employee culture, business plan quality. Influences the franchise leadership teams to be engaged in processes and activities that support a strong Restaurant Economic Model. Provides operational feedback on potential new franchise candidates. Performance Management & Organizational Excellence – Evaluate and drive individual franchisee operations excellence, as measured by customer feedback and internal evaluations grounded in the “Wendy’s Way”; Leads brand protection efforts; Utilize Business Reviews, Top to Top meetings, benchmarking and measurement to maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the Region; Activate and align cross-functional resources to achieve objectives. Development & Financial Performance – Through and with FOMs evaluates and drives individual franchise financial performance, to enable delivery of development commitments and ensure financial health of the system. Franchise and DMA business plan. Franchise renewals and expandability. New development and re-imaging opportunities. New Franchisee Assessment. Remodel and FAR approvals. Operations Standards and Brand Protection. Position is located in Singapore. 50% travel. What we expect from you Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or Master’s Degree. Minimum 7 years’ experience with increasing responsibility in operations management, including experience in P&L management of multi-unit operators. Proven successful track record in franchise-related role, including running a large, geographically dispersed restaurant organization. Ability to lead, influence and develop organizational capability as well as achieve results with a diverse group of stakeholders. Natural capacity to quickly establish and build effective relationships across the organization. Strong strategic thinking capabilities and ability to lead growth and change initiatives. Superior operating skills, financial and marketing acumen. Extraordinary influencing, consulting and communication skills; has the ability to influence, engage and motivate people. Self-motivated, results-oriented, customer focused team player, holds her or himself accountable for performance, and takes absolute ownership. High energy and ability to react to situations quickly and decisively, possessing self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position, and not afraid to make decisions. The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is XX% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
