QA/QC Manager

Position Overview

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the company’s oil & gas projects and corporate operations. This role ensures that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities meet contractual, regulatory, and international standards, while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management & Compliance: Establish and maintain the company’s QMS in line with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and industry-specific standards (API, ASME, ASTM, IACS, etc.).
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are fully integrated into EPC, FPSO, and offshore project execution.
• Manage preparation, review, and approval of QA/QC documentation including ITPs, QCPs, method statements, and project quality plans.
• Coordinate with classification societies, regulatory authorities, and clients on quality-related matters.

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Lead quality planning and risk assessments during bid, design, and project execution stages.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor subcontractors and vendors to ensure materials, fabrication, and equipment meet project specifications.
• Drive lessons-learned sessions and ensure corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented effectively.

Quality Control (QC)

• Supervise inspection, testing, and verification activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review and approve quality reports, material certificates, welding records, NDT results, and other QC documentation.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee final dossier and turnover documentation for project handover.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead and mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and coordinators across corporate HQ and project sites.
• Act as the primary contact point with clients, classification societies, and third-party inspectors.
• Provide regular QA/QC performance reports to senior management and project leadership.
• Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company and projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–12 years of QA/QC experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of EPC project quality requirements, FPSO topsides and hull construction, and offshore classification standards.
• Hands-on experience with audits, inspections, welding procedures, material control, and NDT.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO, IACS).
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, ASQ CQA, Six Sigma, or CSWIP/NACE are an advantage.
