# Senior Golang Developer ConsultantSingapore, Singapore## Job responsibilities* Develop with Go: Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reliable software using the Go programming language.* Consult & Collaborate: Work directly with clients to understand their business needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and propose effective solutions.* Build Scalable Systems: Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and other distributed systems.* Ensure Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high coding standards.* Troubleshoot & Optimize: Debug production issues and optimize application performance to ensure stability and efficiency.* Integrate & Deploy: Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud platforms to build comprehensive solutions.* Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in the Golang community and broader cloud-native ecosystem.## Job qualifications### Technical Skills* Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience developing software with Golang.* Concurrency: Deep understanding of Go's concurrency model, including goroutines and channels.* API Development: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.* Databases: Proficiency with at least one SQL database (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and one NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).* Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).* Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git.* Consulting Mindset: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.### Professional Skills* Experience with event-driven architecture and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.* Experience with other languages like Python, Java, or Node.js is a plus.## Other things to know### Learning & DevelopmentThere is no one-size-fits-all career path at Thoughtworks: however you want to develop your career is entirely up to you.
