Purpose Statement
Boston Scientific is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Solutions Architect to join our Global Commercial A.I. Centre of Excellence. This pivotal role involves driving solutions architecture across AI, data engineering, mobile, and web platforms, focusing on enabling innovation within the medical device industry. You will oversee the design, development and integration of a comprehensive data hub and peripheral enabling commercial systems, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms while enhancing digital capabilities in compliance with healthcare regulations. Leading a team business analysts and partnering with the data team, you will manage the architecture and integration strategy critical to the success of our digital commercial ecosystem, supporting healthcare professionals, internal commercial teams, and improving patient outcomes.

As the Senior Solutions Architect, you are an experienced leader adept at translating business sales and marketing goals into customer-centric, actionable technology solutions. You bring an innovative mindset and the ability to adapt swiftly to changing business conditions while proactively driving projects to completion. With well-rounded technical capabilities and strong organizational influencing skills, you excel at educating cross-functional teams on the value of technology-focused capabilities that support business unit commercial objectives. Your ability to influence and closely collaborate with the global architecture design organization ensures that solutions are globally aligned and effectively implemented across the enterprise.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of the Global Commercial A.I. Centre of Excellence and Regional Commercial IT Lead, you will collaborate with regional and global teams, including APAC Educare, Sales Enablement, Commercial and Supply Chain IT, and global platform teams. Your mission is to drive the development and execution of innovative digital strategies and architecture that elevate the capabilities of business divisions across the region and globally. Focusing on integrating advanced data solutions and harnessing AI while designing an integrated commercial solutions experience, you will unlock new opportunities for personalized customer experiences and operational excellence. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders— General Managers, Marketing Managers, Product Marketing, Sales Leaders, Sales Capability Leaders, Sales Operations, Customer Care, and Corporate Marketing Automation—you will ensure the seamless alignment of commercial goals with cutting-edge technology, transforming the way we engage with healthcare professionals and patients.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership for Innovation:
Shape and execute the strategic direction of solutions architecture within the Global Commercial A.I. Centre of Excellence and Commercial IT, ensuring alignment with global commercial objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
Be an active participant in the global architecture community and collaborate on globally aligned implementation strategies.
Develop and implement solutions architecture strategies that support the company’s digital commercial goals, integrating AI, mobile, and web applications to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Influence global and regional technology strategies by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that architectural solutions meet company growth targets and align with digital health initiatives.
Data Hub & Integration Strategy:
Lead the design and execution of a scalable integration strategy for the digital ecosystem data hub, ensuring data accessibility and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PDPA.
Architect a data infrastructure that supports real-time, data-driven insights for the commercial organization, enhancing decision-making capabilities in partnership with data architect/s.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Establish strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, including product, regulatory, and commercial teams, to ensure that data and system architectures meet business needs and comply with industry regulations.
Serve as a key voice in leadership discussions, contributing architectural expertise to shape both regional and global decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in solutions architecture, with significant experience in data engineering, integration strategies, and AI.
At least 10 years in a leadership or managerial role, managing data engineers and business analysts.
Proven experience within the healthcare or medical device industry is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of enterprise software design/architecture, data integration, AI-driven solutions, big data platforms, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Expertise in healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, and PDPA.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in building data strategies that drive digital transformation within the medical device sector.
Strong organizational influencing skills, including the ability to educate cross-functional teams on technology-focused capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Balanced judgment of solutions architecture under competing views/priorities.
Ability to balance complex technical requirements with business goals and regulatory frameworks.
Solution-oriented with a proven track record of addressing complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions.
Strong ability to adapt to changing business conditions while proactively driving projects to completion.
Ability to influence and closely collaborate with global architecture design organizations.
Experience in participating in global architecture communities and aligning implementation strategies.
