Job Overview:
As a Vessel Performance Optimization Specialist , you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of vessels by leveraging digital tools and working closely with various teams to identify areas for improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of fleet performance monitoring, and experience with energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze vessel performance data, including fuel consumption and emissions.
  • Collaborate with vessels, technical managers, operations, and commercial teams to optimize voyage execution and reduce emissions.
  • Provide insights on hull/propeller/machinery performance to optimize cleaning, dry-dock, and maintenance schedules.
  • Benchmark performance against peer fleet and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
  • Seagoing experience as Chief/2nd Engineer preferred; or strong shore-based fleet performance/technical background will be advantageous.
  • ≥5 years in ship performance monitoring, technical operations, or energy efficiency.
  • Hands-on with fleet performance tools; strong analytics and large-dataset interpretation.
  • Familiar with IMO regulations (EEXI, CII, SEEMP) and emission-reduction strategies.
  • Proficient in MS Office and BI tools.
Skills and Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills and knowledge of fleet performance monitoring are essential for this role. Experience with energy efficiency and familiarity with IMO regulations (EEXI, CII, SEEMP) are also highly desirable. Proficiency in MS Office and BI tools is required. A degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline is necessary, along with seagoing experience as Chief/2nd Engineer or a strong shore-based fleet performance/technical background.
