We're looking for a bold and experienced VP of Platform Engineering & Delivery to lead the development, deployment, and scaling of our software platforms. This role is crucial to our ability to deliver safe, reliable, and scalable solutions that support mission-critical drone operations worldwide.
As a core member of the leadership team, you will drive software excellence, lead a growing team of engineers and DevOps professionals, and build the backbone that powers autonomous flight.
Job scope
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the engineering organisation responsible for backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
Own end-to-end software delivery: architecture, development, testing, security, and operational uptime.
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team across multiple product lines.
Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, incident response).
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and quality standards (e.g., ISO
Work cross-functionally with Product, AI, and Hardware teams to translate product goals into technical execution.
Drive engineering excellence through metrics, agile practices, and scalable development processes.
Contribute to the development of long-term technology vision and infrastructure strategy.
Requirements:
6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
Proven track record in scaling SaaS platforms, preferably in regulated or high-reliability domains (aviation, logistics, mobility).
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), backend architecture, system security, and DevOps practices.
Experience with AGILE development, microservices, APIs, containerization, and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup environment with an execution-driven mindset.
Bonus: experience in aviation, drones, aerospace, or IoT systems.
