Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Professional Engineers in conducting inspections of lifts and escalators, including annual no-load and 5-yearly load testing, in accordance with BCA and MOM regulations.
  • Perform site audits to ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance, meeting required safety and performance standards.
  • Carry out inspections based on established procedures and ensure accurate documentation of inspection results.

Requirements

  • Registered with IES/ACES and holds valid LEI Accreditation.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Relevant working experience in lifts and escalators:
    At least 3 years for degree holders, or
    At least 6 years for diploma holders.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    Testing and commissioning of new lift installations and modernization works
    Maintenance services, including repair works, emergency call handling, and fault rectification
    Design and planning of lifts across various brands
  • Strong understanding of risk-based assessment and safety regulations
  • Physically and mentally fit for high-risk site inspections
