Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and more.
  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems in a cloud environment (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat). Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify potential issues and take proactive measures to address them.
  • Implement and manage security best practices for cloud resources and Linux-based systems, including firewalls, VPNs and security groups.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, outages and performance problems.
  • Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery tests and system upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and clients as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Min 3 years of experience in either Linux administration or AWS cloud required.
  • Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3 and other AWS services.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and containerization orchestration in the cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience securing AWS resources.
  • Expertise in scripting languages (Bash, Python etc.) for automation and system management.
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
