Overview

Process Engineer (Etching/ Overseas job) with experience in chemical surface treatment and etching processes. Role focuses on operating automated chemical surface treatment equipment, managing etching consumables, jigs and fixtures, and ensuring production tasks align with SOPs and SIPs in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Experienced in operating automated chemical surface treatment equipment, including management of etching consumables, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Hands-on expertise with industrial surface treatment processes such as copper/nickel plating, plastic plating, and aluminum oxidation or chemical conversion.
  • Capable of performing production tasks in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Inspection Procedures (SIPs) in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • On-site troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to the etching process.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical surface treatment, etching, or metallization processes.
  • EHS Awareness: Solid understanding of balancing process development with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the composition, principles, and safety protocols related to surface treatment equipment and chemicals. Experience with chemical inspection tools and reagents.
  • Communication: Able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders in China.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, strong communication and coordination skills, enabling efficient teamwork across upstream and downstream functions.
