**Your responsibilities and tasks**:
The Process Engineer will report to the Liquid Engineering Manager

Upon securing a contract/order, the Process Engineer (depending upon the size and complexity of the project) may be required to operate independently or as part of a project team to design, manufacture, install, commission and document the project. Should the project be of a certain magnitude in works or complexity, the project will be implemented by a dedicated Project Manager. The Process Engineer will work cooperatively with the Project Manager in relation to prioritization of engineering activities to ensure the timely and economic project delivery within the project deliverables.

The Process Engineer will also be expected, on occasion, to provide process and project engineering capabilities for the sales support and offer management team to assist in the preparation and presentation of tenders and proposals outside of realized project work.

Travel: Extensive travel will be required throughout South East Asia [SEA] to understand process requirements for new projects, process improvements, to support on site installation and project commissioning

Role: Process/Project engineering for liquid processing plant/system which sold by GEA Process Engineering

This role will perform following job:

- Develop process, P&I diagram and equip/piping layouts for the beverage projects
- Process improvements, thermal process design, process engineering troubleshooting and technical problem solving
- Tanks sizing and dimensional designs, valves//pumps selection, energy & mass balancing
- Pressure drops calculations, pump selections & sizing, thermal calculations review
- Technical specifications for components/process solutions i.e thermal heat treatments, filtration, separation/clarifications, homogenization, fermentation, flow components
- Obtain technical quotation, technical discussions with suppliers and purchase requisitions
- Required project documentation i.e item list, operation manual, performance criteria’s, performance data, lesson learned etc.
- Process automation i.e writing process description, FDS, FATs etc
- Support installation drawings & site installation
- Process commissioning, performance trials and post commissioning technical support
- Support to sales & offer management team on critical technical requirements if needed during preparing the technical proposal
- Extensive travelling for customer requirements understanding, project installation support, project commissioning, technical problems solving etc.

Job Deliverables/Key Performance Areas
- P&I diagrams and Equipment & piping layouts as per the project schedule
- Process description, FDS and FATs as per the project deliverables.
- Components specifications, selections/sizing and purchases in time
- Projects documentations i.e item list, operation manual, performance criteria’s, performance data, lesson learned etc.
- Process installation as per hygienic requirements/food process standards
- Process commissioning & performance trials to meet the project performance deliverables
- Technical solutions on problems faced during commissioning and product trials
- Project execution (engg) as per the project timelines and process/quality requirements
- Support for project engineering team members on project activities as required
- Demonstration of key required competencies while working on projects with project teams

Skills/Qualifications:

- University Graduate in Engineering or technical disciplines - preferably Michancial/Food/Beverage Engineering/Technology, process/chemical engineering
- Minimum 5 years with liquid processing plant/system engineering
- Process and project engineering capabilities on creating/developing P&I diagrams, layouts and commissioning
- Should be go-getter, open for the new ideas and work with team members and other stakeholders
- Should have problem solving attitude, techniques and good analytical skills
- Capability for heat & mass balancing, process optimization and utility & cost of operation estimation
- Excellent communications skills, have strong listening skills and enjoy working with people
- Able to multi-task and work under extreme pressure/urgencies
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated
