**Workplace Safety Coordinator Role**

At the core of this position is a focus on promoting and maintaining a safe working environment. This involves conducting thorough investigations into workplace incidents, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.

The Workplace Safety Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating daily toolbox meetings, ensuring that all personnel are aware of potential hazards and take necessary precautions.

Daily safety inspections are also a critical component of this role, as they help identify any issues or non-compliances before they escalate into more serious problems.

In addition to these tasks, the coordinator will rectify any unsafe conditions or malpractices, enforce company policies and procedures, and conduct safety induction courses for site staff.

This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in workplace safety and health, with experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct incident/accident investigations and provide recommendations for countermeasures
  • Coordinate daily toolbox meetings and maintain records
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and other inspections as required at work sites
  • Rectify unsafe conditions and correct malpractices on site
  • Enforce In-house Rules and Regulations and ensure safe work practices
  • Conduct safety induction courses for site staff
  • Submit Quarterly EHS performance and 6-monthly Risk Assessment reviews
  • Adhere to WSH Act and Integrated Management System
  • Assist in establishing, updating, maintaining and implementing the Safety and Health Management System
  • Support safety promotional activities, audits, meetings and programmes

Requirements:

  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
