The Role:
The College of Engineering (CoE) is looking for an Assistant Director, Graduate Students. This management role is critical to ensure a steady supply and flow of quality graduate students to CoE in support of its pursuit for academic excellence. Together with the Associate Dean of Graduate Students, the incumbent is responsible for creating a thriving academic and social environment ecosystem for graduate students. The success of this endeavor will contribute towards NTU’s objectives as one of the top global universities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and operational support to the Associate Dean, Graduate Students in implementing policies and administering graduate programmes in CoE’s pursuit of academic excellence.
Undertake horizon scanning of the global higher education landscape to understand graduate education, market trends, and future directions.
Strategize and plan graduate student outreach and recruitment.
Collaborate with and deepen ties within global alliances and partnerships on graduate students such as Asia-Oceania Top University League on Engineering (AOTULE) and ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net).
Act as the central Point of Contact (POC) and resource staff on graduate student matters and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate efforts for Master of Science degree programmes and Continuing Education & Training (CET) courses offered by Schools.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from a recognized university, preferably in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
Experience in an institution of higher education will be advantageous.
Ability to manage and work with various stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Resourceful team player with good interpersonal skills.
Self-driven and independent worker who takes initiative.
