Job Title: Western Kitchen Associate

The Western Kitchen Associate will be responsible for the preparation of food to be produced, adhering to all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and following established food production and preparation procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food for production in accordance with established specification requirements and procedures, menu recipes, and presentation instructions at all times.
  • Maintain accurate stock inventory and ensure that all storage areas are tidy and products are stored appropriately.
  • Store all food properly and safely, marking the date and item.
  • Ensure daily temperature records and monitoring are properly conducted.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy production area at all times.
  • Properly handle all kitchen equipment at all times.
  • Assist in ensuring a high level of health and safety, cleanliness, and food hygiene and ensure safe working practices are followed.
  • Report any necessary equipment repair and maintenance, workplace incidents or failures to meet performance standards by kitchen staff to higher authority.
  • Comply with grooming and appearance standards at all times.
  • Act in the best interest of the company in all circumstances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Fitness and Health: Good physical health and fitness to perform job duties.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Relevant certifications and qualifications in food handling and preparation.
  • Education: Basic education required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
