Job Title: Automotive Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle mechanics and be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles efficiently and safely.
About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, conducting routine maintenance, and repairing or replacing faulty components in the engine, transmission, suspension, and braking systems. They will also use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle problems and inspect, test, and repair electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and engine issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake servicing, and fluid checks.
  • Repair or replace faulty components in the engine, transmission, suspension, and braking systems.
  • Use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle problems.
  • Inspect, test, and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Conduct test drives to verify the success of repairs.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Automotive Technician, a strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques, and the ability to use modern diagnostic tools and equipment. They should also have hands-on experience in engine repairs, transmission work, and suspension maintenance, and be able to interpret service manuals and technical diagrams. In addition, they should have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and be physically fit and able to lift heavy parts and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
Automotive Technician Certification (NITEC, WSQ, or equivalent) is an advantage, as is experience with Hybrid & Electric Vehicles, familiarity with European, Japanese, or Continental vehicles, and a clean driving record.
