Senior Data Engineering Manager Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead our data engineering team and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, software development, and team leadership, with experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.

Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, develop and implement new tools and technologies, and ensure the quality and integrity of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture & Design
    • Develop and maintain high-level data architecture designs, including data models, ERDs, and system designs.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet those needs.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to help them grow professionally.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective team operations.
  • Data Engineering
    • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data systems, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop solutions to address those needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, software development methodologies, and Agile principles.
  • Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
