Data Infrastructure Engineer Leader

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to oversee the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure.

As the Engineering Lead for Data and AI Infrastructure, you will be responsible for providing technical direction to a team of engineers, designing and implementing a robust and scalable data infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.

  • You will have 8+ years of engineering experience, with previous experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers. A Bachelor degree or above in computer science or engineering related majors is required.
  • You should have extensive understanding of software development lifecycle, with experience in building frameworks or tools for various stages. Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps is also essential.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one programming language and commitment to best practices in engineering, security, and design are necessary.

In this role, you will work closely with our data engineering and analytics teams to provide the right tools and platforms for them to succeed. You will create and enhance tooling and platforms to empower the engineering team with improved self-service capabilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers.
  2. Design and implement a robust and scalable data infrastructure tailored to meet different needs of the engineering team.
  3. Design and develop scalable software applications or systems that provide good self-service capabilities and ensure robust architecture and maintainability.
  4. Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance to identify and rectify errors, ensuring the software aligns with quality standards and functions effectively.
  5. Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting for deployed software, implementing updates and enhancements to improve functionality and address evolving needs.
  6. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
  7. Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of emerging technologies, programming languages, and development methodologies, enhancing the quality and efficiency of software solutions.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of engineering experience.
  • Previous experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
