What the Role Is

HTX is the world's first Science and Technology agency that integrates a diverse range of scientific and engineering capabilities to innovate and deliver transformative and operationally-ready solutions for homeland security. As a statutory board of the Ministry of Home Affairs and integral to the Home Team, HTX works at the forefront of science and technology to empower Singapore's frontline of security. Our shared mission is to amplify, augment and accelerate the Home Team's advantage and secure Singapore as the safest place on planet earth.

Get ready to embark on a transformative journey with HTX's newly formed xCode function, focusing on the organic in-house development of core software modules for the mission critical and sensitive systems. This new setup aims to achieve greater control, agility and responsiveness to evolving operation needs to the dynamic operating environment for software delivery.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Lead the overall product strategy, delivery and lifecycle management, ensuring that products meet business needs and user expectations.
  • Oversee multiple Product Teams, working closely with the Engineering Team to define priorities, drive execution, and engage stakeholders to ensure adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Product Teams leverage the expertise of Engineers from the Engineering pillar to address technical challenges effectively.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in product management, software development, or digital transformation
  • Proficiency in product lifecycle management, Agile/Scrum methodologies, stakeholder management, and roadmap planning
  • Experience coaching team members in product strategy, leadership, and resource management
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a high level of independence in decision-making

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
