Our client is a dynamic, high-growth fintech company headquartered in Singapore with a significant and expanding regional presence across Southeast Asia. Known for its innovative approach to digital payments, lending, and consumer financing solutions, this company is a market leader poised for continued growth and development. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Head of Compliance to lead the compliance function. This senior role will report directly to the C-suite and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s compliance, regulatory, and licensing strategies across the region. The successful candidate will manage a dedicated team of around 20 compliance professionals, overseeing a full spectrum of compliance functions. Additionally, the role will involve supporting government affairs efforts, enhancing the company's external engagement and alignment with regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for the compliance team, managing around 20 professionals across the region. Develop and implement robust compliance frameworks to ensure the company meets all regulatory, licensing, and statutory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Oversee regulatory licensing processes and manage ongoing compliance with applicable financial regulations, particularly those related to digital payments, lending, and consumer financing. Act as the company's representative in government and regulatory engagements, fostering strong relationships and advocating for policies that support business growth. Identify and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks, maintaining rigorous standards that protect the company’s reputation and uphold regulatory compliance. Work closely with the C-suite, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure a culture of compliance is embedded within the organization. Drive a proactive approach to compliance by staying ahead of regulatory developments, industry standards, and best practices to continuously enhance the company's compliance posture. Requirements: 10-15 years of compliance experience, with a proven track record in fintech, technology, or financial services industries. Prior experience in fast-growing environments, particularly those offering digital payments, lending, or consumer financing products, is highly valued. Demonstrated success in leading and growing compliance teams, including experience managing a team of 15+ professionals. Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks across Southeast Asia, including experience in licensing and managing relations with regulatory bodies. Ability to think strategically and work in partnership with senior stakeholders to shape and execute a compliance vision aligned with business objectives. Experience supporting or leading government affairs initiatives and engaging with regulatory bodies is advantageous. Legal qualification is well-regarded but not essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
