This role involves supporting the delivery of actuarial bases for the Asia business unit through data analysis, experience analysis, and development of Terms of Trade across all lines of business and territories in Asia. The analyst will need to understand treaty benefits across Asian markets and the mechanics of experience analysis. The position is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Support experience analysis and basis setting for current treaties.
Develop and maintain the Terms of Trade through data analysis and understanding of market risks.
Maintain the assumptions management platform.
Improve and automate experience analysis processes.
Develop and maintain the risk framework across lines of business, calibrating probability distributions and documenting methodologies.
Participate in ad hoc research projects, support internal research, and assist in pricing and market initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Actuarial Science or similar.
Knowledge of SQL, Excel, and ideally R, Python, Tableau, or Emblem, with willingness to learn new systems.
Attention to detail, efficiency, and ability to meet deadlines.
Data interpretation skills relevant to actuarial calculations.
Experience in data cleaning, analysis, and reporting processes.
Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting in English.
Understanding of actuarial principles.
Team player.
