What the role is: This is a 2-year contract position as a Senior Manager, Finance in the Finance Office. What you will be working on: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead in the sections on Accounts Payable, including Student Claims/Payments, Overseas Student Programme. Lead in budget planning, monitoring and reporting of NP’s budget to ensure effective use and allocation of resources. Lead in management of grants and funding. Provide solutions/co-solution for issues for the above to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Formulate and operationalize finance policy and framework, balancing financial prudence and outcomes. Analyse existing work processes and identify areas for improvements. This includes looking for opportunities for automation to implement solutions that enhance work efficiency. Coaches and mentors Managers and Executives. What we are looking for: Tertiary education in Accounting, with at least 5 years of relevant superviory experience in finance department. Familiar with major accounting systems. Will be a bonus if candidate is: Currently leading similar work functions A registered member of one of the recognised accounting bodies Familiar with Workday accounting software Good critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal skills and able to engage and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels. Good written, spoken/presentation and general digital skills. Highly motivated with positive work attitude. Good leadership and team management. Able to multi-task, work independently and in a team.
