Emergency Veterinarian Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled Emergency Veterinarian. Your role will involve working in a fast-paced emergency setting, providing exceptional care to patients and their owners.
Responsibilities include:
  • Participating in daily rounds at the start and end of each shift for inpatient care.
  • Handling consultations for emergency patients during both day and night shifts.
  • Conducting diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Referencing cases to appropriate specialty clinics when necessary.
  • Performing TFAST and AFAST ultrasound scans for critical emergency patients.
  • Developing and recommending treatment plans for emergency cases.
  • Maintaining accurate and updated medical records, documenting findings and treatments.
  • Ordering diagnostic procedures, such as X-rays, blood tests, ultrasounds, endoscopies, or CT scans, as required.
  • Analyzing and interpreting results from diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribing medications based on diagnostic outcomes and clinical evaluations.
  • Discussing patient care and condition updates with pet owners.
  • Providing detailed updates and discharge notes to referring veterinarians.
Requirements include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized university. 1-2 years of experience are advantageous but fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Great communication and interpersonal abilities are also essential.
