Overview Assistant Housekeeper at Raffles Hotels & Resorts. This role is responsible for managing the Housekeeping Department operations to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Primary Responsibilities Manages the daily housekeeping operations for rooms and public areas, ensuring the hotel maintains an immaculate and luxurious standard, with priority and full attention given to VIP suites or events. Ensure the smooth operation of all housekeeping sections by adhering to the code of ethics issued by Raffles Hotel Singapore. Uphold a flawless impression and perception of the Raffles Hotel Singapore products, services and colleagues. Plan work and maintenance schedules, supervise the team, and delegate duties effectively. Guest Experience Ensure guests receive experiences as detailed in brand SOPs, local SOPs, and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) and Forbes Five Star standards; work to achieve targets set by management. Analyze and respond to guest feedback to ensure guest satisfaction and continuously improve the quality of products, services and team performance. Management and Leadership Lead the housekeeping team with a Heartist approach, creating a welcoming environment for a multicultural team; focus on well-being, safety, training and development of colleagues. Plan for 24-hour shift coverage and be prepared to personally cover any role or duty within the Housekeeping department. Hotel Leadership Team Involvement Align service standards and performance with Accor values: Guest Passion, Trust, Sustainable Performance, Spirit of Conquest, Innovation and Respect. Follow sustainable procedures and CSR and sustainability efforts; adhere to Work Safety and Health (WSH) policies and train direct reports accordingly. Handle guest complaints and incidents with the Lobby Manager and relevant hotel colleagues, following hotel values and procedures. Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Assistant Executive Housekeeper. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Candidate Profile Knowledge and Experience Diploma or Degree preferably in hospitality or related field. Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 2 years in a management-level position. Experience in a luxury hotel/resort environment. Competencies Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are an advantage. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Opera PMS. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with colleagues and guests at all levels; able to resolve problems and make decisions. Adaptable to multicultural guest needs and able to collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultures. Discretion and sensitivity in supporting guests’ needs; focus on continuously improving the guest service experience. Leadership skills: collaborative, enabling, entrepreneurial; career-focused and self-motivated.
