We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead our business development and operations in Japan. This role will play a critical part in driving user growth, strengthening brand presence, and ensuring compliance within the Japanese market.
Responsibilities:
Lead overall business development and go-to-market strategies in Japan to drive user growth and strengthen brand presence.
Conduct in-depth research on the Japanese market, including user behavior, regulatory landscape, compliance requirements, industry trends, and competitor analysis.
Oversee local operations in Japan, including localized marketing, public relations, community management, customer service, and KOL partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local regulators, industry associations, partners, influencers, and media outlets.
Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, and operations teams at headquarters to support the localization of platform features and services.
Recruit, manage, and lead a local team to ensure efficient execution of business plans.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and conduct regular performance reviews and market optimization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
5+ years of experience in business development or operations in the Japanese market, with at least 2 years in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry preferred.
Strong understanding of Japan's crypto regulatory environment and market landscape, with a solid compliance mindset.
Highly result-driven and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Japanese, both written and spoken with strong proficiency in English or Chinese.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; existing industry network in Japan is a strong plus.
