Job Opportunity ">

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Counsel to join our team. As a key member of the Regulatory Department, you will play a vital role in carrying out regulatory functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of regulatory matters under the Legal Profession Act and conducting legal research and drafting articles for publication in the Singapore Law Gazette.

  • Key Responsibilities: ">
  • Administering complaints processes, inquiries, and mediation in accordance with the Legal Profession Act. ">
  • Liaising with counsel instructed to carry out litigation for the Society. ">
  • Assisting in the administration of Legal Profession (Solicitors' Accounts) Rules, including interventions into client accounts and inspections. ">
  • Presenting regulatory matters to Council and Committees in a fair and detailed manner. ">

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

">
  • A recognised bachelor's degree in law from a reputable university. ">
  • At least 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in the litigation department of a Singapore law practice. ">
  • Strong legal analytical skills with the ability to assimilate and evaluate new and complex information. ">
  • The ability to balance theoretical concepts with practical implementation. ">
  • Interest in learning and developing new skills, knowledge, and capabilities. ">
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. ">
  • Strong language ability with demonstrated proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills. ">
  • The ability to present information and arguments clearly and persuasively. ">
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining high quality work and attention to detail. ">
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and good team player with good administrative and organisational skills. ">
  • Strong people management skills with high EQ. ">
  • Highly ethical, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality. ">
