Job Description

To perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of cranes and transport equipment with respect to its mechanical function and hydraulic control system.

In addition, to maintain proper recording of each task undertaken, inclusive of the remedy action performed.
Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Immediate response to equipment breakdown requests as instructed by supervisors.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of faults or problems encountered by cranes or transport equipment, thereafter mete out corrective action to recover equipment immediately.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and checks on cranes or transport equipment as planned or scheduled.
  • Repair and reconditioning of mechanical or hydraulic parts.
  • Complete job record forms for each activity undertaken and promptly return the form to supervisors.
  • Work under the guidance and supervision of Mechanical Foremen, Service Supervisors or Coordinators. If in doubt, seek supervisor instruction.
  • Keep immediate supervisors well-informed of any activities, results of efforts and problems identified/potential problems; recommend corrective actions to immediate supervisors.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level holder or equivalent with 3 years of working experience in mechanical repair of cranes or related equipment.
  • NTC holder of Mechanical Engineering discipline with 2 years of related working experience will be preferred.
