Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Manual Tester
with 5–7 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on involvement in
public sector
projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software testing principles, test documentation, and quality assurance best practices. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables in compliance with regulatory and security standards typical of government-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and maintain
manual test cases , test scripts, and test data based on functional and technical specifications.
Perform
functional ,
integration ,
system , and
regression testing
for web and desktop applications.
Log, track, and manage defects using standard bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Work closely with business users, developers, and project managers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and test coverage.
Prepare test plans, test reports, and other QA documentation in alignment with public sector project requirements.
Validate that deliverables meet security, accessibility, and compliance standards commonly required by government agencies.
Participate in
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
support and issue triaging.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
5–7 years of proven experience in
manual software testing .
Experience working on
public sector or government projects
(local or regional).
Strong knowledge of
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
and
testing methodologies .
Familiarity with tools such as
JIRA, Confluence, TestRail , or equivalent.
Solid experience with test case design, defect lifecycle management, and test execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Good to Have:
Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium) or scripting for future scalability.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Understanding of government-related compliance
