Job Title : Manual Tester / QA Tester (Manual)

Location : Singapore

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to work closely with our QA and development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate will have good understanding of QA methodologies, the SDLC / STLC, and hands-on experience in writing and executing test cases, logging defects, performing regression and functional testing, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze product requirements, user stories, functional specifications to understand what needs to be tested.
  • Design, write, and maintain detailed, comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, test data.
  • Execute manual tests: functional, regression, smoke, UI, system/integration tests as applicable.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects or issues clearly (with steps to reproduce, screenshots/logs) using tools such as JIRA/Bugzilla/etc.
  • Perform retesting & regression testing to ensure fixes are working and no side-effects.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting: provide status, risk assessments, and blockers.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) if required, liaising with business users.
  • Maintain test artifacts (test plans, test case repositories, traceability matrices).
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Provide suggestions for improving quality processes, usability and test coverage.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Typically 1-3 years manual testing experience (for junior/mid roles); more for senior roles.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
  • Hands-on experience in functional testing, regression testing, system/integration testing.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, others).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in Agile / Scrum environment (participate in standups, sprint planning etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL / database validation is a plus.
  • ISTQB or relevant QA certification is a plus.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience testing web and mobile applications.
  • UI-/UX understanding, usability testing skills.
  • Exposure to automation testing (even if the role is manual).
  • Domain experience (e.g. FinTech, Banking, E-Commerce, Healthcare etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing, API testing etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $2, $7,735.63 per month
