Piping Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Piping Technician to join our team. As a Piping Technician, you will be responsible for the final assembly and adjustment of process, utility, and interconnecting piping systems. This includes installing pipe supports and hangers, manual and instrument valves, conducting hydrostatic/pneumatic leak tests and line flushing, and performing system tie-ins and integration in line with pre-commissioning requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalize and adjust all process, utility, and interconnecting piping systems according to industry standards and specifications.
  • Install and set up pipe supports and hangers to ensure safe and secure piping operations.
  • Install manual and instrument valves as per system requirements.
  • Conduct thorough hydrostatic/pneumatic leak tests and line flushing to ensure system integrity.
  • Perform system tie-ins and integration to meet pre-commissioning requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • A Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related trade.
  • At least 3 years of commissioning experience in the Oil & Gas/Wind Farm industry.
  • Proven experience in commissioning Electrical Panels/equipment/network/PAGA/radio/CCTV/Telecommunications Systems.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
