Job Summary Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer operates, manages, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems, critical and non‐critical power systems, plumbing, fire control and suppression, roofing system, exterior grounds and performs all related vendor support in a mission critical environment. This fast‐paced role supports the overall functioning of the Data Center by focusing on maintaining and improving the facility's critical infrastructure, including regular schedule maintenance and ad‐hoc repairs/troubleshooting. Responsibilities Perform site inspections and monitor building and Data Center alarms. Perform preventative maintenance on site infrastructure or manage vendors. Assist more senior staff in repairs and corrective maintenance. Perform site rounds on all critical areas and systems. Site Administration Maintain notes and records of activity fulfillment in the ticketing system. Complete site logs and gather data for permits, such as MOPs and script members. Close preventive maintenance work orders and file service reports. Customer Management Perform site capacity audits and complete basic work requests and circuit installations/terminations. Support customer satisfaction with timely adherence to basic order execution requirements. Deliver a quality customer service experience when interfacing with customers. Incident Management Assist more senior staff with responding to all on‐site incidents and act as directed. Be the primary responder to any incidents. Perform necessary escalation to duty engineer and manager. Assist duty engineers for incident resolution. Collaboration Provide assistance to department during routine maintenance activities. Support fulfillment of projects under close supervision. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in critical facility engineering, electrical maintenance, or a similar role within a data center or critical infrastructure environment preferred. At least a Higher Nitec/Diploma in an engineering field required. Able to handle heavy loads and perform hands‐on activities in tight spaces.
