BIM Coordinator Role

  • This role provides digital delivery support to multiple design teams and coordinates deliverables, managing submissions to clients related to 3D models and drawings.
  • The BIM Coordinator will be a key part of the growth strategy for digital delivery, with opportunities to advance in BIM and Information Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Consistency : Understand and implement BIM requirements consistently across projects.
  • Leading Meetings : Lead BIM meetings with contractors to deliver per BIM requirements.
  • Status Reporting : Report current submission status to the team and take action accordingly.
  • Tool Utilization : Help the team utilize BIM tools, including training and over-the-shoulder support.
  • CDE Adoption : Drive the team to use Construction Data Exchange (CDE) through ProjectWise.
  • Engineering Challenges : Resolve engineering challenges using BIM tools proactively.
  • Submission Review : Review contractor submissions properly according to requirements.
  • Tool Training : Provide advanced tool trainings to the team and address tool issues.
  • Process Improvement : Continuously improve tool usage for the project.

Requirements:

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, focusing on process plant and/or wastewater treatment projects.
  • Digital Delivery Experience : Digital delivery experience in at least five projects, with two requiring external collaboration with design partners and/or contractors.
  • Combined Experience : A minimum of five years' combined engineering/design, modeling, and production experience in water or infrastructure projects.
  • Automation Technologies : Experience with current automation technologies used in the industry, such as Autodesk, Bentley, and Intergraph software vendors for plant design.
  • Project Execution : Knowledge of developing, implementing, and executing digital delivery project execution plans.
  • BIM Standards : Familiarity with local BIM standards and guidelines.
  • LLeadership Qualities : Leadership, teamwork, initiative, and flexibility.
