Desalination Plant Operations Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to support the operation and maintenance of desalination plants.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the shipboard engineering team to ensure efficient and effective plant operations, maintain water quality standards, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the desalination plant, including monitoring system performance and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist in collection and analysis of plant data and parameters.
- Perform routine maintenance on desalination equipment, pumps, and filtration systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal functioning of the plant.
- Monitor and analyze water quality parameters to ensure compliance with local and regulatory standards.
- Collect and test water samples for chemical and biological analysis.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and incidents.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in operating or maintaining water treatment or desalination systems is preferred.
- Understanding of desalination processes, including reverse osmosis and various pre-treatment techniques.
- Familiarity with water quality testing methods and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
