About The EDB Scholarship Programme The EDB Scholarship is designed to nurture future‐ready leaders for this exciting journey. As an EDB Scholar, you will benefit from comprehensive support that includes sponsored overseas education at top universities, foreign language development programmes, international exposure through internships and immersion opportunities, and personalised mentorship throughout your academic journey. Upon graduation, you will join EDB equipped with world‐class education, global perspectives, and the networks needed to embark on a fulfilling career driving Singapore's economic transformation. What you will be working on Global Exposure – You will be sponsored to pursue your academic dreams at top universities worldwide and gain global business exposure working with international companies to drive Singapore's economic growth upon joining EDB. Valuable Experiences – Immerse yourself in new cultures and expand your horizons through Study Aboard programmes and our Foreign Language Development Programme. Curated Development Opportunities – While overseas, you will be mentored by EDB's Regional Directors in‐market. You will also gain real‐world experiences through our internship programme (Singapore or our Overseas Offices) where you will work alongside EDB officers, tackle meaningful projects, and develop competencies that will prepare you for a career in EDB. An Impactful Career – Upon graduation, you will join the EDB Associate Programme where you will rotate across different business functions in EDB, receive comprehensive training and mentorship before moving into a role in one of our EDB divisions and contribute to Singapore's economic development. A high level of initiative, drive, and adaptability. Course of Study EDB's work is highly diverse in terms of the businesses and industries we engage and the global locations where we operate. The EDB Scholarship supports studies in various disciplines, including but not limited to engineering, science and economics. We also encourage you to pursue interest areas beyond these fields of study through a selection of double majors or minors and/or development programmes. As part of your development journey, all EDB scholars will be supported to learn a foreign language so that you get a head start in building up your global engagement capabilities. Disciplines not covered under the EDB Scholarships are law, medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. Eligibility Program Type – Full‐term scholarship for pre‐university students who will be beginning their undergraduate journey. Citizenship – Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. Academic Criteria – You should be a Singapore Citizen/PR fulfilling your final year in an education institution which offers: GCE A‐levels; or International Baccalaureate; or Polytechnic Diploma with merit; or High School Diploma.
